From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. God is a deity in theistic and deistic religions and other belief systems, representing either the sole deity in monotheism, or a principal deity in polytheism. God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. The most common among these include omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, omnibenevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. God has also been conceived as being incorporeal, a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the "greatest conceivable existent". These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the early Jewish, Christian and Muslim theologian philosophers, including Maimonides, Augustine of Hippo, and Al-Ghazali, respectively. Many notable medieval philosophers developed arguments for the existence of God. Many notable philosophers and intellectuals have, by contrast, developed arguments against the existence of God. GNU Free Documentation License At what moment exactly does God start to condemn homosexuality? Q. Is it already wrong for one guy to like another guy? To hold hands? Open a joint bank account with him? Massage his shoulders? Look him in the eye? At what moment does God start to condemn it? or is it only the actual penetration that He's against? And if it's only the penetration that He's against, what's His beef with lesbians? Asked by Godot - Tue Oct 27 09:18:19 2009 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments A. Same gender sexual relations is mentioned about 6 times in scripture. I believe it is talking about specific types of same gender sexual activity and not homosexuality as we know it today. There wasn't even a word for homosexual orientation in the original Greek and Hebrew languages. Also, it was never mentioned by a prophet so we can know that the writer was talking about something common to the time it was written. Since there wasn't a word for homosexual in their language we can bet that it wasn't a common activity at the time. What was common was sex with the same gender and animals in worship… [cont.] Answered by ver_jen - Tue Oct 27 14:00:52 2009 What if there is a god who only allows atheists into heaven? Q.
